In order for the Walk for Good Food to be a success, we need many volunteers! Check out the following opportunities and ways you can get involved as a volunteer, then fill out the form below to let us know you want to join us!

Set-Up Volunteers (4-6)

Help set up the gathering site for registration and the check-point.

Tear-Down Volunteers (4-6)

Help tear down and clean up the gathering site when the Walk is over.

Registration Volunteers (10)

Register all walkers even if they have already signed up online, accept pledge envelopes that have money in them and offer general assistance.

Parking Lot Volunteers (5-10)

Direct walkers to the nearest parking lot with open spaces.

T-Shirt Table Volunteers (4)

Run the T-shirt table, giving away shirts to individuals who raised over $100, and selling T-shirts for $15 each.

Tote Volunteers (3-6)

Help hand out totes to walkers at the end of the walk, cheer for returning walkers, and direct people to activities, as well as help with collecting walker route maps to be recycled.

Route Monitors (25-40)

Ensure that Walkers get through the busier intersections safely.

Nurses/First Aid Attendants (2)

Be on call to assist Walkers as needed.

Photographer (1+)

Take photos of the activities happening during the registration and Food Festival, the Opening ceremony, and take photos of the speakers/musicians. Once the Walk starts, get some shots of walkers but do not need to walk the whole route.

Fun Booth/Giant Produce Volunteers (4+)

Paint faces, give/apply temporary tattoos, and pass out stickers. Interact with kids by helping them draw with chalk, dancing around, and taking selfies.

Chalk Drawer

Draw fruits and veggies in the designated chalk area. Feel free to be creative and make hopscotch out of vines of produce, etc. Encourage kids to join you in drawing their favorite fruit or veggie.
