Access of West Michigan (AWM): “Tell us a little bit about your organization: your mission and the work that you do.”
St. Mark’s: “We serve a free, hot and protein enriched breakfast every Sunday of the year to the homeless and hungry in Grand Rapids. We serve an average of 175 adults each and every week.”

AWM: “Why is Good Food (fair, affordable, healthy, and accessibly) important to your work? What is your organization doing to support a Good Food System?”
St. Mark’s: “Participation in the Walk provides awareness to our organization about Good Food initiatives and the things being done to address them. The meals we serve are free and offer healthy choices of fruits, vegetables and protein. We purchase all food for the Breakfast Café from local retailers and producers which are fair and affordable.”

AWM: “What is one thing you’re looking forward to about this year’s Walk for Good Food?”
St. Mark’s: “Being able to join others in the virtual Walk this year to benefit Good Food issues and doing something to help our more vulnerable neighbors during the critical time we’re in is a thing to look forward to!”

AWM: “Anything else important we should know?”
St. Mark’s: “We are so grateful to be a partnering agency with ACCESS and for the support given and received. May the 2020 Virtual Walk For Good Food be a success!!”
