Thanks to everyone who supported the ninth annual 13 Food for Families event. So far, we have collected over 305,000 pounds of greatly needed food supplies! The collected items will be distributed to pantries in the TV 13 viewing area in July. Special thanks to our partners: WZZM, Spartan Stores and Two Men and a Truck. Also, to generous vendors who made significant donations and to many Spartan Store shoppers who contributed at store locations. Together, we have made a significant contribution to fighting hunger in our community! Check out this video from WZZM for an update.

ACCESS enjoyed a fierce but friendly competition with WZZM TV and Regent Broadcasting this week at the Family Fare store on Lake Michigan Drive. Teams competed to find the most items for their carts within a five minute time frame. The WLHT team took the top prize, beating out two ACCESS teams by one item! The real winners, though, are low-income families in our community who are the recipients of the items through our 13 Food for Families event. Check out a video of the event from WZZM TV.
