Start a New Tradition This Year: Holiday Giving Network
The Holiday Giving Network (HGN) matches individuals or groups directly to Kent County families who are in need of holiday food. Last year over 7,000 families signed up to receive a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal and this year the need will be just as great. Would you consider helping make the holidays brighter for a family in need?
Here’s a few ways to get involved with the Holiday Giving Network:
1. Family Connection: Provide Thanksgiving or Christmas food to a family in Kent County. We will match you with a family in your area that is in need of holiday dinner food items. You can purchase the food items and then deliver them directly to the family a few days before either Thanksgiving or Christmas. You can sign up on the online form on our website.
2. Give grocery store gift cards or monetary donations to help us ensure that every family is provided for this holiday season.
3. Hold a holiday food drive with your congregation, office, or small group and donate the items to a local pantry (we can connect you with your local food pantry).
4. Volunteer at one of our pantry sign-up sites to assist with intake, data entry, or other needed activities.
